Society has used labels for generations as a sorting function to ask if a person’s point of view is credible and how to weigh it against other points of view.
Other labels also exist: Nobel laureate, Harvard grad, Columbia Law School grad, Partner Covington & Burling etc etc.

And tired of the increasingly accepted notion that they have some special skills or insights simply because they know how to legitimately/illegitimately accumulate money.

Little Eric here suffers from a classic case of the zero-sum game fallacy.
The reality is that creating a trillion dollar company from nothing generates wealth for millions of people.
And the reason the company is worth so much is that it makes great products & services that people love! There should be more of this, not less.
Eric, on the other hand, has never created anything. He is a taker, not a maker.
