These two things should not even be discussed in the same conversation. The idea that saying a slur, in any context, carries even 0.00001% the moral weight of stabbing someone is total madness.

No, if a black guy stabbed me, I wouldn't call him a "nigger." I'm sure I would say a lot of horrible things to him, but that wouldn't be one of them. Would you?
