The DoD helped fund the Falcon 1 on the hopes that a company would come along that could chuck a rocket and then satellite into orbit on a moment's notice during a war.

The amount SpaceX is requesting for a major battlefield advantage is less than the cost of one new GPS satellite. Ironically, GPS doesn’t work on battlefields, as the signal is easy to jam, but Starlink does.

Russia has the ability to destroy USA & Europe utterly with nuclear missiles in less than 30 minutes & vice versa.
A surprising number of people don’t know this.

This is exactly how we escalate a situation toward nuclear Armageddon. Now, Russia is forced to begin its own nuclear drills, which will trigger NATO countries to increase their LERTCON level, which will trigger Russia to do the same... until we're all on a nuclear hair-trigger.
