He's a hotshot programmer, he knows AI tools very well, and he's talking about a 12 hour day. But he's not naive. This is not 10,000 lines of bug-filled crap.

Slight chance of Starship flight to Mars crewed by Optimus in Nov/Dec next year. A lot needs to go right for that.
More likely, first flight without humans in ~3.5 years, next flight ~5.5 years with humans.

It will see, and try to avoid, potholes.
It will drive on parking lots a lot better and be way better at finding a parking space and parking.
