I think likes give users valueable data, though I wish there were more reactions available than likes. I'd rather have that info visible. Though it is interesting how it would affect the psychology of user not see it when interacting with tweet. Does it change perceptions?

So @nytimes has 54.1 million followers. Yet look at the reach/impression total of their Tweets now that @Twitter is sharing this data. Something isn’t adding up. For instance this Tweet of mine will likely be viewed more than almost all of theirs today. Thoughts @elonmusk?

NY Times is simply outputting short summaries of articles, which then hit a paywall for non-subscribers.
They would have far more views if they interacted with readers on Twitter and allowed at least the first few paragraphs to be read by non-subscribers.

It’s now common that @CommunityNotes have millions of views. Now multiply that by their impact—on avg ppl are:
• 20-40% less likely to agree with substance of a Tweet after seeing note
• 15-35% less likely to RT/Like
