I know it’s taken longer than expected, but Grok 4.8 will not be a disappointment. We’re not optimizing for benchmarks and I really don’t care how Grok does on those, but it will be incredibly useful.

Keynote ⚡ Why I'm long $TSLA & $SPCX Last week, I was invited to Los Angeles for the LD Micro conference to give a keynote about my two biggest investment positions Tesla and SpaceX. Many of you follow me for my tech stock/VC investing ... but before all of that, I had a previous life as a micro-cap investor. Yup, I loved finding the tiniest companies at the earliest stages. We're talking back in high school. 2008-2011. But in 2012, my mentor told me about his test-ride in a Tesla Roadster. This is what let me to @Tesla & realized that despite trading for $3B... the upside potential was MASSIVE. They were trying to change everything about our transportation and energy systems. No more fossil fuels, via super fast sports cars. I got hooked, and the more research I did, the more I invested in $TSLA. I went all in. This wasn't a car company. It was a technology company. No innovation like this was happening in public microcap stocks. Frankly, most of them were scam businesses built to dilute shareholders, not build world changing technologies. So naturally, I became more and more enthralled by tech companies changing the world, and eventually even startups (and now my VC has invested $40M into them!). In short, I left the microcap world and never looked back. At one point, Chris Lahiji, a great friend and mentor, said Gali, come back to LD Micro, pitch us on Tesla & why you left microcap. So I did. That was 8 years ago, and the stock is up ~20X. This year, Chris invited me back to reflect on Tesla's progress and offer my newest investment pick; SpaceX. So that resulted in this talk lol. A high level overview of my investing philosophy and why my two biggest positions are Tesla & SpaceX STILL. Despite being up 20X+ on both, I think they can each 10X from here. Presented at a conference for microcap stocks lol ... two $1T+ picks 😂😂 I had a blast doing this and was honored to be invited back 🙏

I finally understand how people get AI psychosis. Grok Bot is *really* good. If you're older, have a wider network, you can call people to ask for advice. If you're a bit more isolated, not so much. They start asking personal questions and get sucked in.

Neuralink will solve that with finesse at some point. Have you considered any of the existing devices? They are a little brutish, but my understanding that they can be effective for some types of epilepsy.

Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval.

Before Hollywood, I was living in a van in Hawaii and waiting tables at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. One day, the incredible Rae Dawn Chong walked into the restaurant, and naturally, I went up to her table and said, “Hey, you’re a movie star! What are you doing here?” She asked if I could act, and I said, “Fuck yeah, put me in your movie!” She asked for my phone number. The only problem was I didn’t have one. So I gave her my buddy Mike’s number instead. A couple days later, Mike casually mentions, “Oh, by the way, someone called you.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME, MIKE?! I called her back, and sure enough, she was serious. I drove over to pick up the script, went back to Mike’s house, and read all 120 pages three times in a row. First script I’d ever read. My character's name was Devon, and I remember thinking, “Sweet! I could totally play a Devon!” I showed up to the audition with every line and inflection mapped out in pencil. Rae told me I could act and offered me the part. I asked if we were shooting in Hawaii. Nope. Los Angeles. I had about $60 to my name, a bag of clothes, and some rollerblades. Then Rae told me they'd fly me out. And I remember thinking right then and there, my life just changed forever. I'm going to be an actor. That little movie was Cursed Part 3, a low-budget horror comedy that opened the door to Hollywood for me. I'll forever be grateful to Rae for taking a chance on a kid working at a shrimp restaurant. Everybody starts somewhere, and this is where it all began for me.
