Actually, it’s 1 of 3 forward cameras in rear view mirror assembly. External cameras will auto-activate in future if car is damaged while parked.

Most of the "good" fund companies that do short lending actually return the revenue to the investor (vs keeping it) so in many cases there are ETFs for the retail investor that actually have a negative expense ratio...ie they pay you to own them.

When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Way the trick works is companies like Blackrock keep up to 50% of short interest revenue, but suffer almost none of equity decline, as they’re just “passive” managers. Blackrock made $597M in short lending last year!

We have one of the great short sellers in history on the podcast next week. Has literally exposed dozens of frauds and scams that were predatory at lost people so much $$$$...
I love Elon/Tesla but this is totally backwards...not all shorts are bad, not all longs are good...

Not all. However, shorting applied to market as a whole is obv net negative — it incents negative gdp! Moreover, it stops private companies from going public, preventing access by retirement funds & small investors, thus increasing wealth divide.

This is crazy. Longs can earn yield while some idiot bets against the stock they believe will go up. There's every incentive for longs to lend out stock.

There is no rational basis for a long holder to lend their stock to shorts, as it dilutes the shareholder base & gives the short a strong incentive to attack the company by whatever means possible, including regulators

Where this breaks down is in passive index funds, which constitute most of the market. The holders of those funds, mostly small investors & retirement funds, don’t realize that their stocks are being lent to short sellers, diminishing their true equity return.
