That's not the case. The CLI doesn't retain data under ZDR (including headless/non-headless modes), and has since launch. Similarly, /privacy in the CLI will disable or reenable any data retention. For some features, including remote session listing, cloud agents, and handoff, you will need to enable data syncing.

I worked on building an end-to-end encrypted email/docs/files/calendar app @skiffprivacy for 4 years and care deeply about privacy. ZDR and /privacy are always respected in Grok Build - and swapping your setting with /privacy deletes any synced data retoractively

SpaceX policy regarding data retention. It is actually helpful for debugging issues if we can retain some amount of data, so allowing this would be appreciated, but your privacy settings are always respected.

We care deeply about your privacy and respect customer choice. For teams using zero data retention, no trace and code data is ever retained. All API key use of Grok Build also respects ZDR. If ZDR is disabled, the /privacy command is available in the CLI to disable data

@arthurkatcher 1) Yes! Use `.grok/agents` or config.toml (see below), adding to the docs site right now. 2) Yes: Agents can spawn background subagents, or try /dashboard, to move your agent to the background and create another. I've been using /dashboard as my default.

Some new model release and my eval scores: gpt-5.6-sol is a small improvement on browser tasks, but seems to consume many more tokens Muse spark 1.1 outperforms gemini 3.5 flash at a cheaper price, but is not overall very good Claude sonnet 5 is 5th best performance at higher

I say both energy and mass, as they are separate scarcities for practical purposes, despite being technically “equivalent”, as described by Einstein’s famous equation. Our solar system has only a tiny percentage of non-solar atoms with which to build things.
