Over the years Elon has evolved the concept on how to pay for Mars settlement, and I think his posts yesterday and today should be interpreted in that context.
The evolution:
1. (2016 Guadalajara) Settlers will sell their homes on Earth to buy tickets to Mars.
2. (2017

Megapack will carry a lot of the world’s load in energy, as it allows power plants to run continuously.
Tesla Megapack@Tesla_Megapack· Nov 3, 2025Megapack grid-forming inverters are key to enabling global grid stability and reliability
This technology allows Megapack to resist changes on the network by creating its own voltage signal, preventing blackouts and allowing more renewables to come online

If @CharlesSchwab doesn’t vote for Elon Musk’s 2025 CEO Performance Award plan, I’ll move all my assets to another brokerage. My followers, many of whom also hold assets with Schwab and collectively own at least hundreds of millions in $TSLA, may do the same.

Elon's new posts about things we can do in space with fully reusable superheavy vehicles are important. I have been wondering for years when he would realize that there are much more important things to do in space before building a city on Mars.
- Massive AI (and other) data
Elon Musk@elonmusk· Nov 2, 2025@rmcentush Starship could deliver 100GW/year to high Earth orbit within 4 to 5 years if we can solve the other parts of the equation.
100TW/year is possible from a lunar base producing solar-powered AI satellites locally and accelerating them to escape velocity with a mass driver.

We should not take survival on Earth too much for granted.
No commercial opportunity, however large, is more important than ensuring the long-term survival of consciousness, which becoming multiplanetary enables.
Space habitats require mass transfer from elsewhere to grow. Planets do not.
That said, a self-sustaining city on the Moon, while not as resilient to calamities that affect Earth as Mars (due to its proximity to Earth), is probably nonetheless worth the doing, in addition to Mars.

Very important to appreciate that the debate is not about whether illegals will sway future US elections due to census apportionment, but just by how much!
Left-leaving organizations like Pew Research represent the low end of estimates.
C3@C_3C_3· Nov 2, 2025By the numbers the Democrats have around 50 fraudulent Congressional seats due to illegals.
760,000 people per seat.
40,000,000 illegals.
That’s what this is all about.
Power.
Every 760,000 illegals deported the Democrats lose a seat.

Once you realize how many Judges are connected to or have a family member connected to a NGO, Nonprofit, Firm etc everything makes sense.
It’s not the separation of powers.
It’s a judicial coup paid for with taxpayer money.
175+ injunctions on POTUS Trump by Marxist judges.
