I think it’s only fair that @BernieSanders supply an itemized list to @elonmusk and all tax paying citizens explaining exactly where the government intends to allocate his almost $15B in taxes. Wasteful spending should not be a part of any agenda and we know democrats excel at it

Never heard that cost basis determines which shares need to be sold. I think he can choose which shares to sell. Possible he's selling existing common shares to increase the taxes he's giving to the government. Would be kind of crazy but something Elon might do.

Please don’t read too much into this. As mentioned publicly, Tesla is constrained by chip supply short-term & cell supply long-term.
Not possible to produce additional vehicles in volume until both constraints are addressed.
