Seems to happen in Germany too. After a recounting due to a "computer glitch", a right-leaning party lost an important seat. It's odd how it's always when the left is losing that there's some trouble that requires adjustments, leading to the left winning.

The older we get, the more we appreciate that some of the books they forced people to read as kids actually slapped. Forcing kids to read Brave New World, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Lord of the Flies, or any other iteration of overreaching government/the evil of man was based AF.

I accidentally read Animal Farm when I was maybe 8 or 9 and thought it was a book with talking animals. Kept expecting the story to turn around, but the horse never did come back 😢

I prefer the dichotomy of extinctionist vs expansionist. No civilization is stable for long, so you’re either growing or contracting.
