He talked the police out of taking her when they came to his house.

Based on this post, I honestly can’t tell which party you mean.
When I talk to hardcore Ds or Rs, both are convinced their party fits that description.
Real conversations are only possible with the middle ~40% independents.
Worth noting that independents are the biggest voting block in America.
