The only road to redemption for mainstream media orgs begins will a full self-audit of the Russiagate fiasco, which includes Pulitzers that need rethinking. It’s not a left or right issue, they just got this completely wrong on the facts, and need to own it.
Glenn Greenwald@ggreenwald· Jan 9, 2023The findings from the survey itself are even more striking.
It only took 6 years for "data" to prove the obvious: in an election where oligarchs spend trillions; CIA/FBI/DHS are involved; major media corporations are doing everything possible, a few Twitter bots are irrelevant.

Every late-night network "comedian" turned into Nancy Pelosi's well-behaved grandson. And they keep doing i even as their ratings evaporate.
This is a new low, aside from the fact that he's telling everyone to use mask indoors while he and his band don't.

I had Twitter set to show me tweets of people I follow in chronological order (the way it originally worked), but it just switched me to seeing "Top" tweets instead. I noticed immediately because "Top" tweets are so much worse. Fortunately it was easy to switch back.

You don't say.
Russiagate was - and is - one of the most deranged and unhinged conspiracy theories in modern times. It wasn't spread by QAnon or 4Chan users but the vast majority of media corporations, "scholars," think tank frauds, and NYT/NBC's "disinformation units":

Masseys raptor test stand is possible based on the caisson drilling rig being assembled.
Which raptor test stand is more plausible Left or Right?

We will also be adding simple formatting features like bold, underline & font size later this quarter.
The goal is to allow people to publish long-form natively on Twitter, rather than forcing them to use another website.
Twitter will continue to recommend brevity in tweets.

People assume these will be displayed on the timeline and I’m not sure why. I figure it’ll either be twitlonger-style or “read more” style, not just long 4,000 word tweets in between normal ones. They’ll be their own thing. At least that’s my assumption.
Pop Base@PopBase· Jan 8, 2023Long form tweets of 4,000 characters will be launched in early February.
